View Google Maps On TiVo!

Google Maps is one of the coolest of Google applications, and anyone using TiVo knows that it is one of the most essential products for your home entertainment.

Now they come together in a new TiVo hack by Arthur A. van Hoff, recently lead architect for TiVo's TiVoToGo, Content Distribution Service, and Home Media Engine project (he's now gone). With this hack of your TiVo box, you can display Google Maps on your television set. You use the arrow keys to move around, channel
up/down to zoom, number keys to enter a zip code, and select to switch between map and satellite mode.

I've got a TiVo, but have never tried hacking it. But, apparently there are many, mnay people who do this with no problems. There's a whole community built around TiVo hacks. You'll find plenty of site devoted to this if you search Google for [tivo hacks].
